Moving...Again

Well, we've been packing up the house all week. We load a huge moving truck on Sunday and drive all day Monday. We're moving back to DC which makes me very happy. I'm sad to say goodbye to our house here in Charlotte, but there's not much love lost all in all. For the 2+ years that we've lived down here, we've constantly dreamed of being back in DC.

The whole Bound4LIFE team is moving together, so we'll have a small convoy of cars and trucks stretched out along the interstate.

Regrets I leave behind in Fort Mill (not-so-affectionately known as #FortFAIL):
  1. Not getting pulled over by CP (rent-a-cop Crime Prevention) and making them taze me.
  2. Getting writer's block and never spray painting an insightful message on the water tower.
  3. Not having a better lawn than any of the neighbors. Lord knows I tried. I tried so hard.
  4. Not taking the time to paint all the rooms in the house to make it feel more like home.
  5. Not spending more time on my deck. (The neighbors got a hot tub which was a huge deterrent...emphasis on "huge."
  6. Not exploring downtown Charlotte more. It's a pretty sweet city.
  7. Not seeing ZHOP land in a permanent home.
  8. Not getting pulled over by CP (rent-a-cop Crime Prevention) and making them taze me again.

Matt,

We love your family. You've been a true brother in the Lord and spur me in the faith.

You are great in the eyes of the Lord and one of the hidden heroes of the faith.

Much grace to you and the family as you take the hill.

Praying for the Locketts and keep getting this verse:

"By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God."

Take courage! Abraham was not a failure in his wanderings in the land of Promise! I am praying for divine dreams for you to clearly see the purpose and plan that you walked out in your two years in SC.

I know this is kinda late to comment on this post...I kinda dropped off your blog wagon when I started living with you and working for you and hanging out with you in my free time. Now I'm back on your blog wagon. Anyway.....

Since I AM still in the Fort, I'll just take one for the team and fill all of the things on your list. Except for number 3. I can't compete with the golf-course-for-a-backyard neighbors....and I don't mean KD.

Touche on number 5.
