In Need of a Good Spiritual Cleansing

A friend from Florida just called to tell me he was giving me a passenger van. When you do what I do, that’s really great news.

The story: He was at a private auction for a business guy that went belly up. As he was walking out he heard the autioneer calling “Gimme one thousand one thousand, five hundred five hundred gimme five hundred, two fifty two fifty two fifty somebody gimme two fifty...” Just then God spoke to him and said “Buy it.” He didn’t even know what it was, but he turned around and held up his placard. Turned out to be a 15 passenger van which he had no need for. He won the bid and called to ask if I wanted it. No catch!

Here’s the funny part. The unfortunate business guy was a former band manager and concert promoter. He created the bands Backstreet Boys and ’N Sync. This is the van he used to haul them around before they got big.

Pictured above are A.J., Kevin, Brian, Nick and Howie. OK, now you know I had to Wikipedia that junk to tell which one was which. Good grief, I can only imagine the comments now.

Matt:

I think Brian Littrell should be asked for provenance on the van. I AM SO SERIOUS.

Plundering the darkness and all that - few are darker than Lou Pearlman seems to be these days.

FORMAL OFFER: TheCall will trade Bound4Life our Chuck Mervin Special for your new van, sight unseen. If yours was owned by 'N Sync, ours was the original tour bus for the Grand Ole Opry. Two words: Blue Ox!a

Dear road-weary Regional Call Director,
You got the Blue Ox? Good luck with that. Sorry no deal.

You definately nailed it because it smells like Minnie Pearl.

Hey Matt! It's Kelly R. from Operation Outcry NH. We chatted in SD last November about a worship event we are having here in NH. The Esther Siege is being held in October 25-27- 48 hours of non-stop praise and worship- a modern banquet so to speak. I believe you took my contact info out there, but here is my email- prolifeambassador@msn.com. We'd love to have you guys- at the end of the 48 hours we will be praying for the end of abortion. Let me know and I can send you more information. God Bless, Kelly

Geez Matt:

One little entry about the Backstreet Boys, and look at all the action you get on your blog.

I must have tapped a sensitive nerve or awakened love before it so desired.

You guys crack me up....

Don't sell/give that van for your life. Looking forward to seeing it - in Atlanta for our next Rumble perhaps (Nov. 2)?? ;)
