I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!

Correction to my previous post. The Nashville signpost image is not from "Oh, the Places You'll Go." It's from another one called "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!"

This wouldn't be the first time I got confused or tongue-tied with a Seuss story.

Oh, the Places You'll Go!

I laughed out loud as I was walking through Barnes & Noble and saw this. It was hanging on the wall over the children's section. I had to snag the moment with my camera phone or else no one would believe me. It's an image clipped from the pages of Dr. Seuss' "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"

This may be a little "inside" for a lot of you, but it's particularly meaningful for me. On 7/7/07 we've rented the Titan's Stadium in Nashville, TN. We're launching The Call with the anticipation of 100,000 people gathering there for a day of solemn assembly- a day of repentance, prayer and fasting. At the gathering we'll be sharing the LIFE message with one unique twist. We believe God has given us a beutiful gift in the story "Horton Hears A Who" which was first published in 1954. The moral repeated throughout the book is "a person's a person no matter how small." We learned that a major theatrical release of this story is planned for the spring of 2008 starring Jim Carrey. Could it be God's timing to trumpet the message of life right before the '08 elections?

This little snapshot serves as a signpost and reminder of where I'm heading. See you there.

My Friend Patti

Here is a link to a great article about my friend Patti Giebink. A former abortion doctor for Planned Parenthood, she has become a Christian and is now speaking out for LIFE. It's an amazing testimony of God's love, but she is putting a lot of distance between her and that former life. Not only is she a volunteer youth leader for her church, but she also makes medical missionary trips to India and Pakistan. Please pray that God raises Patti up in humility and gives her a voice to the nation. I count myself privileged to know her.

Heaven's Kiss or a Statistical Phenomenon?

I spent the weekend in DC with our team from Fort Mill. We all gathered on the national Mall on Monday for the annual March For Life. So I'll let you all decide whether this was an intimate nod from the Lord or simply a ridiculous coincidence.

Meet Rhonda. She's a former student of mine from Denver, CO. Last Fall she joined our weird little company here in Fort Mill as an apprentice and promptly got wrecked on being an intercessor for America. She traveled to DC with us for the March and joined with over 100,000 other demonstrators on the streets of Capitol Hill. Not only did the media single her out among thousands and thousands to be photographed, but then her picture was featured in her hometown newspaper, The Denver Post.

I've made my decision which one I think it is. I love you Rhonda. You just keep being as radical as you want to be, you Gadite.

By the way, The Washington Post noted in their report on the event that the majority of the protesters were teenagers. Something's shifting.

This article was featured on the Drudge Report today. Absolutely amazing. It talks about how 4D ultrasounds have enabled scientists and doctors to study developing babies. It even mentions how twins interact with each other in the womb.
