House Dems Axe Birth Control Funds From Stimulus Bill

No one expected this ridiculous idea to be such a lightning rod of controversy, but thanks to the moral outcry and staunch resistance that erupted in the last 48 hours the current stimulus proposal will not be used to fund the abortion industry. It was absurd to even suggest that this was legit in the context of job creation to begin with.

While President Obama still believes in the federal funding of "family planning" services, for now he has become involved in removing it from the $825 billion stimulus which he desperately needs to pass quickly. Perhaps Barry will have to reevaluate the determination of the pro-life community and his dismissive caricature of what he called "a stale and fruitless debate" last week.

Nancy Pelosi Must Apologize

There must be an immediate moral outcry regarding Nancy Pelosi's comments yesterday declaring that hundreds of millions of economic stimulus dollars must be given to the abortion industry to help the economy. This story has now been the top headline on Drudge Report since shortly after midnight.

The revelation came during an exchange Sunday morning on ABC's THIS WEEK.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?

PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children's health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.

STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that?

PELOSI: No apologies. No. we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.

What's hidden in this seemingly benign language? The liberal agenda has strategically removed words like "abortion" and "choice" from much of their communications these days replacing it with phrases like "unintended pregnancies" and "family planning." Don't be fooled though. This is nothing more than Dems taking their first steps in the marching orders given by Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion leaders.

What this mother of 5 is suggesting is that babies born to poor economic demographics are too big of a burden on the states and federal bottom line. Therefore we'll all be better off if they're dead. "What's wrong with condoms?" you may ask. This is isn't about that. It's about giving enormous amounts of taxpayer dollars to organizations like Planned Parenthood that clearly are overwhelmingly more interested in making money on abortions than on providing beneficial health care.

While PPFA has stopped reporting adoption referrals altogether, abortion and prenatal care continue to be reported. According to the last PPFA Annual Report, abortions are up to 289,750 in one year and prenatal care is down to only 11,058 clients in one year.

Statistics show clearly that as governmental funding increases for "family planning" ABORTIONS increase in near-parallel trajectories. This is nothing less than a modern-day application of eugenics social engineering.

There must be an immediate apology from Nancy Pelosi for suggesting something so morally reprehensible.
